Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the more common questions I get on this topic!

So what do I have to do in order to be an "Affiliate"?

All you need is a website or blog that directs users to Amazon.com. Once they click on any product within your website/blog post, if the user proceeds to purchase that item, you will receive a commission around 3%, I know that's not a lot - but with items well into the Thousands of Dollar Range, it can add up pretty quickly!

For example, if someone clicks an affiliate link in on a review I did on a $1500 Gas Powered Lawn Mower.

$1,500.00 x 0.03% = $45.00 - not bad!

Just ONE of those per day can generate you an extra $1,500.00 per month!

What are the requirements for Amazon affiliate?

You must be 18 years of age or older to sign up for the Amazon Affiliate Program.

You must also reside within the United States, India, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Sweden, or Poland.

Additionally, your website cannot offer pornography, illegal activity, gambling, or hate speech. Finally, your website must be in English.

How do I start Amazon affiliate marketing on Instagram?

The first step is to sign up for the Amazon affiliate program. Once you have done this, you can begin to post products on your Instagram account. Make sure that each post includes a link to the product on Amazon.com. When someone clicks on your link and makes a purchase, you will receive a commission!

It's important to note that you should only be promoting products that you are familiar with and that you actually use yourself. If you promote products that you do not like or do not use, it will show through your posts and turn off potential customers.

What are some of the best practices for Amazon Affiliate marketing?

There are a few things to keep in mind when promoting products as an affiliate for Amazon. First, always make sure that you are promoting products that you believe in and that you actually use yourself. If you don't like the product, your followers will be able to tell and it could hurt your reputation.

Second, always make sure to include a link to the product on Amazon.com in each of your posts. This way, if someone is interested in what you're talking about, they can easily find the product and make a purchase.

Third, try to be creative with your posts! If all of your posts are just pictures of products with links included, people will get bored quickly. Try to come up with interesting ways to market the products and keep your followers engaged.

Fourth, make sure to comply with Amazon's Terms of Service. If you violate their terms, your account could be suspended or even banned from the program.

Finally, always remember that you are representing Amazon.com when you are promoting products as an affiliate. Be professional and courteous to potential customers and always try to give them the best experience possible.

What is the difference between an Amazon Associate and an Amazon Influencer?

An Amazon Associate is someone who sign's up for the Amazon Affiliate Program and promote products through their website or blog.

An Amazon Influencer is someone who promotes products through their social media accounts, typically on platforms like Instagram or YouTube.

Both Associates and Influencers can make money through commissions on product sales, but Influencers typically have a larger following and can therefore generate more sales, at least initially.

Can you put Amazon affiliate links on YouTube?

Yes, you can put Amazon affiliate links on YouTube. However, you should only do this if you are comfortable with disclosing your relationship to Amazon. You should also make sure to comply with YouTube's Community Guidelines, which prohibit the use of deceptive practices like hidden links.

Can you put Amazon affiliate links on Facebook?

Yes, you can add Amazon affiliate links on Facebook. However, you should be aware that Facebook has strict rules about what kind of content is allowed on its platform. So, before adding any affiliate links, make sure that they comply with Facebook's guidelines. For more information, please see Facebook's Help Center.
