InboxDollars Review – What’s it all about?
Alright folks, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for – My InboxDollars Review! I’ve been getting TONS of emails lately asking me for my review of this product, asking it it really worked, if you could make good money with it, but the truth is – I had no idea. SO – I did what any responsible online marketer would do, and signed up so I could see for myself and tell you! 🙂
Anyways, What IS this program all about?

I signed up for InboxDollars, so I can show you!
Basically, InboxDollars is an online rewards club that pays you with cash, not points or silly contest entries where you can HOPE to win something big.
Alright, so the signup process is probably the quickest & EASIEST $5.00 I ever made. You sign up, you VERIFY your email on file, and you get $5.00 credited to your account instantly.
Okay, so that was easy – BUT how much can you earn using the website or app regularly? Is it worth your time? Can you actually make good money, or is it like those “take surveys online for cash” scams you so often hear about.
First of all, just to let you know – I’m ALWAYS skeptical about programs like this. I’ve reviewed 3 or 4 of the “Take Surveys for Cash” type of programs before, and NONE of them have failed to deliver what they promise.
Take Surveys for Cash promised $500 surveys DAILY, but proved to be one of the biggest scams I’ve seen online. There are others too, like Click 4 Surveys, Get Cash for Surveys, and others – and they’ve ALL proven to OVER PROMISE AND UNDER DELIVER. Scams, scams, scams – so stay away from those programs!
Having said that, forgive me for being a bit of a skeptic while starting out with this review! 🙂
Some of the ways you can make money with InboxDollars:
After I signed up, I was able to take a ‘personal profile’ survey which took about 5 minutes. This survey asks questions about my income, marital status, and other things I’m sure they use to tailor surveys and offers to fit me. It took about 6 minutes, no biggy, now its time to get paid…wait, what?
There is a $0.50 (yes, 50 cents) bonus associated with it, but you need to complete 4 OTHER items first to qualify for this bonus.
Anyways, whatever, let’s go back to the homepage and get to the good stuff! Here’s a look at the available offers for me!
Alright here we are, the Surveys available for me pay the following!
|Survey 1||20 Minutes||$0.25|
|Survey 2||15 Minutes||$0.25|
|Survey 3||26 Minutes||$0.50|
Just to be clear, that’s 25 CENTS for each of the 20, 15 and 26 minute surveys. If I do all 3 of these surveys, and complete them within the time they say it should take, I’ll have spent 61 MINUTES – or just over 1 HOUR – and earned $1.00!
If you want to do this in your spare time to earn ‘extra money’, so far it’s looking like it’s going to take 30 hours or MORE to get the $30.00 withdrawal minimum required – yikes!
Anyways, Okay, so maybe their paid surveys aren’t the way to go. Sure, if you want to work your butt off doing these (and trust me, they get boring quickly) you can earn a few dollars, but that’s really it…a few DOLLARS…for HOURS of your time.
I promise, you may think it’s easy and fun to do, but the novelty goes away quickly once you realize you’re not getting paid a whole lot of money for your time & effort.
Let’s look at some of the other ways to earn on their site!
Make Money Watching TV and Videos
InboxDollars TV and InboxDollars Videos both seem to be the same thing, so I’m just going to cover them in one section here.
Basically, for THIS portion of Inbox Dollars, you get paid to watch random videos, shows about Football, recipes for random things you’ll never cook, nothing terribly exciting. The final one I watched was a Brittish News Report about Lana Del Ray’s latest album, and was 52 seconds long.
The pay for each video is on AVERAGE 1-2 CENTS. Once you’re done with the video, you get a virtual scratch off card that awards you your ‘prize’ for watching the video. Much like a real lotto card, you might win a little, you might win nothing.
With the 3 Videos I watched personally, here’s how much I earned:
|Video 1 (52 Seconds)||$0.02|
|Video 2 (49 Seconds)||$0.00 (yes, zero)|
|Video 3 (1:38)||$0.01|
For those that are interested, The 1st Video was about Lana Del Ray’s latest album, the 2nd was about the worlds oldest American WWII Vet going to the hospital (God bless him), and the 3rd was about some Hockey Guy I don’t know or care about.
Anyways, let’s look at how much I earned watching videos in InboxDollars:
|Total Time Spent||3 1/2 Minutes|
|Total Money Earned||3 Cents|
While this is slightly less boring then answering the surveys, the idea of earning $1.00 an hour watching random videos or TV shows does not really excite me.
This STILL works out to about $1.00 per HOUR of time you put in.
Here’s what I’ve learned so far about InboxDollars:
- I can average of $1.00 per hour with SURVEYS.
- You’re constantly reading, selecting things, etc which is actually fairly difficult if you’re doing this non-stop, which gets old fast.
- I can earn about $1.00 (or more) per hour watching TV Shows or Videos
- There are apparently scratch off prizes of 5 cents, and a few higher value ones such as $1.00, $3.00 and $10.00 to keep you hoping, but so far the most I saw from ONE of these was just 2 cents.
- There are other ways to make money with it, you get paid 1 – 3 cents per EMAIL read, get pennies for playing games, etc. To be honest I got bored of it, and the payout was so low that I lost all excitement I initially had.
So where was I? Oh yes, $1.00 per HOUR earnings possiblity (with my testing).
So far, this puts me at above average earnings for most 3rd world countries, who in many cases earn $1.00 per day (Cambodia, I’ve been there), but I’m in the US – this is NOT enough money to make it worth my time.
This is NOT a great way to make extra money, you could work all DAY and just make $10 – $12. So needless to say, I’m not impressed.
Make Money Surfing the Internet
Working on this
Playing Games, Shopping & Signing up for services that YOU PAY FOR in order to earn small rewards, referring friends, and more!
I’m grouping these last things into one section, since there are so many of them.
My Inbox Dollars Review
Stay away, you’re better spending your time elsewhere honestly 🙂
I put together a 20 minute video showing MY OWN EARNINGS with InboxDollars and why I feel it’s a HUGE waste of time, check out the video here!
NO – inboxdollars is NOT a scam, you just have to put in A LOT of hours before you can even withdraw your first $30.00 (probably 30 hours or so, based on my $1.00 per hour calculations)
