ClickFunnels Review & Product Demo
Hey Folks – Jeff Lenney here with my full ClickFunnels review. If you’ve never heard of ClickFunnels by Russel Brunson, you’re about to get quite the introduction!
Anyways, I NEVER review a product unless I get it, use it, and make sure it does what it claims. Having said that, let’s get to the reason you’re here:

What Is ClickFunnels all about?
I got it, let me show you!
Anyways, In case you’re still not sure how this works, the ClickFunnels web page has an AMAZING video that really sums up sales funnels in about 3 minutes, click below to give it a watch:

Can I REALLY build a Sales Funnel one in 10 Minutes?
Yes, you can! In fact, I make a KILLING with that 2 step method above (which I’ll show you in my own video review further down), and that can often be set up in as little as 5 minutes, even for a total newbie! 🙂
Now, onto the reason you’re here – How Does ClickFunnels Work?
Having used other funnel builders, and switching over to clickfunnels from LeadPages I had a good idea coming in as to how to use it. BUT what I didn’t expect was how EASY it is to use, and how diverse the templates are.
With LeadPages you’re able to do quite a bit with their templates, BUT you’re limited to their templates and aren’t able to change the layout or the overall look. Wich ClickFunnels you’re able to do that, and so much more.
Step 1: Click “Add New Funnel”, you’ll be given three primary choices:
- Build a Funnel to Collect Emails and build your list
- Build a funnel to sell your product or services
- Build a funnel to host a webinar and grow your audience
- (You’re also given a 4th option, to Create a Custom Funnel)
In this example, I’m going with the FIRST option, to Collect Emails.
My own funnels are structured like this:
- Opt-In Page (Lead Magnet)
- Thank You Page (includes download for lead magnet, PLUS affiliate link for another product iI’mpromoting)
Let’s Look at the “Collect Emails” Funnel First:
Step 2: Give your Funnel a Name, and set appropriate tags (funnel group) and hit “Build Funnel”!
For the above, I named my Funnel Affiliate Money Machine (based on my book), and added the tag ‘jefflenney.com’ for easier grouping later.
Step 3: Now the fun begins and we select from one of MANY beautiful templates to be used for our opt-in page (aka Squeeze Page)
Here, you’re able to choose pre-built pages for a variety of things:
- Optin Page
- Sales Page
- Webinar Page
- Auto Webinar Page
- Membership Page
- CLickPop Page
In this example, I’m going to choose one of the opt-in pages, as my goal is to grow my email list.
Step 4: Edit The Page, EVERYTHING you see on there can be EASILY changed, modified, removed or added to!
You can add/remove SEO MEta Data, Custom CSS, Background Images, Text, Font Size, Sections, Rows, Videos, Pictures, Columns, and more!
Here’s the Page Template I went with, but there are DOZENS more to choose from with images, video squeeze pages & more
Step 4: Repeat the above process with your Thank You Page (this is where you reader will be sent after they sign up)
This just gives people a easy place to download their free guide IMMEDIATELY, and of course now they’ll be on your email list and should also be getting your “Day 0” Auto Responder email! 🙂
The “Sell Your Own Product” Funnel
ClickFunnels also has the perfect solution for those who want to sell their own product, while you CAN customize the steps and pages 100%, the image above shows the layout of a fairly succesfull funnel you can quickly build with the software.
I’m not going to demo the above funnel as it’s a bit extensive, but the process is the same as with the opt-in funnel, you choose the steps for your funnel, the fully customizable steps and layouts, and start driving traffic!
Let’s take the example image above for example:
- Your Visitor Lands on your Squeeze Page (Opt-in Page) and is presented with your lead magnet, usually in exchange for their email address.
- After they sign up, they’re generally presented with an offer of something for sale. This could be immediately after signing up, or a day or two into your autoresponder sequence.
- After they purchase your core offer, they’re presented with an OTO (One-Time-Offer) as an upsell to the original offer. This is generally not something that’s required, but something made to improve the results they get with your core offer.
- After this, they land on your Thank You Page and are given access to their download(s).
Now, don’t let the above scare you, that’s actually an easy one BUT it’s meant for people who already have their own products. For affiliate marketing and list building I keep my own much simpler and they work like a charm too, I don’t even have my own product!
The “Webinar” Funnel
Now THIS feature is 100% Bad-Ass! You can chose to build a funnel leading to registration for a LIVE webinar, or a webinar replay for evergreen lead generation!
The Funnel Consists of 3 Steps:
- Webinar Sign Up
- Confirmation Page
- Live Webinar
Clickfunnels flawlessly works with GoToWebinar (and I’m told other Webinar platforms are coming) and allows you to add leads as easy as 1-2-3!
Again, for this funnel, you get to choose from quite a few different styled templates ranging from simple short pages, to video squeeze pages with testimonials and more.
(The below templates are just SOME of the ones already included with your clickfunnels membership)
Make your selection, edit it, and start driving traffic!
ClickFunnels Vs. Leadpages
Unfortunately, I can’t give a full comparison here. I’m a former leadpages user – I used leadpages for ALL of my Sales Funnels for a good 3-4 years and I loved it.
Since I’m no longer an active member, I’m NOT able to give you a ClickFunnels VS Leadpages comparison. I will tell you that I liked LeadPages very much, but I much prefer clickfunnels as it offers a-LOT more value for your dollar. Don’t get me wrong, LeadPages is great and I would NOT have used it for so long otherwise, but in the nicest way possible, I feel ClickFunnels is much better for what I need it for. Even at the BASE price with ClickFunnels of $97/month, I’m able to do split testing AND I get many things I had to pay ‘top tier’ at leadpages for.
You can’t go wrong either way, honestly, but I’m a ClickFunnels fan now.
ClickFunnels has two options, clickfunnels on it’s own, and ClickFunnels with the Backpack and Actionetics bundle. I’ll go into each in the chart below.
